Microchip?s USB82642/2642 provides an SDIO over USB bridge. This SDIO over USB bridge supports the transmission of data from a USB Host to an SD, MMC, eMMC or SDIO card. The SDIO over USB bridge uses USB Mass Storage Class Bulk-Only Transport and SCSI pass through to support this feature. Microchip offers an application (i.e., usb_dev_sdio.dll) that can be integrated in a customer application and that is able to control the data transmission SDIO over USB of the USB82642/2642. Thereby usb_dev_sdio.dll or library utilizes the SCSI pass through commands to transfer data. This documentation describes the API commands of the usb_dev_sdio. dll.
