High-Efficiency, 48V Power Conversion Solutions Explore our two reference designs for 48V–12V conversion. The high-efficiency Gallium Nitride (GaN)-based design is an excellent choice for data center, industrial and E-Mobility applications while the silicon-based design offers a reliable, cost-effective solution for automotive and communications. You can compare diagrams and specs to find the right fit.
Isolated Bias Generator for SiC Gate Drivers The isolated bias generator for SiC gate driver reference design is based on the MCP14T0517 push-pull transformer driver.
600–1700V High-Reliability Power Module This demo highlights baseless modules, an ultra-low inductance SP6LI power module, SP6HPD and SP7HPD+ driver for E-Mobility, with a focus on aviation actuation. Modules include IGBT, SiC and hybrid SiC switches, offering customization for specific requirements.
5.5 kW Flying Capacitor Totem-Pole (TTP)

This demonstrates a 5.5 kW, multi-level flying capacitor Power Factor Correction (PFC) stage that is OCP ORv3-compliant as a prototype for next-generation 12 kW AC-DC supplies. It offers high power density while fitting standard

Hardware-Based, High-Voltage Auxiliary E-Fuse

Board

This demo showcases an advanced Electronic Fuse (E-Fuse) solution for Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) that utilizes our 700V and 1200V mSiC® technology. This solution features a Time-Current Characteristic (TCC) curve for seamless integration into automotive and industrial applications like DC Solid-State Circuit Breakers (SSCBs).
30 kW Vienna PFC Low-Voltage Demo Optimize your three-phase Power Factor Correction (PFC) systems with our advanced Vienna PFC reference design, which is very well-suited for Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers, as well as high-power Switch-Mode Power Supply (SMPS) applications. Leveraging cutting-edge Silicon Carbide (SiC) technology, this design utilizes our mSIC® MOSFETs and Schottky Barrier Diodes (SBDs) to achieve an impressive 98.6% efficiency at a 30 kW output.
3.3 kV HV-D3 Gate Driver Reference Design This demo showcases a gate driver for 3.3kV D3 SiC power module with 5W/channel, 100 kHz switching, optically isolated interface, DESAT/Undervoltage Lockout (UVLO) protection and 6 kV isolation.

45W Auxiliary Power Supply for 800V Traction

Inverters

This inverter offers a high-voltage auxiliary power supply that converts DC to low-voltage outputs for traction inverter control circuits, fans and sensors. The inverter is optimized for reliability across a wide input range.
Half-Bridge Board With Power Motherboard The Half-Bridge Board (HBB) uses our mSiC® MOSFETs and is a versatile platform for designing SiC discretes into power electronics. It can be used with a Double Pulse Test (DPT) board to determine switching losses in SiC, Si and IGBT devices.

This demo features discrete devices including diodes, IGBTs, MOSFETs and high-frequency Vertical Double-Diffused Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor (VDMOS) for DC-DC/AC-DC converters, Power Factor Corrections (PFCs), solar, Switched-Mode Power Supply (SMPS), battery charging, welding, motor control and RF applications (80V–1200V, 2–175 MHz).

Electromechanical Power Relays Designed for harsh environments across transportation, space, military, aviation and downhole drilling, our portfolio of power relays includes space-grade relays, QOL relays and custom relays. Space-Grade Brushless DC Motor Controller This demo showcases the LX7720MLF Evaluation Board with 24V half bridges formed by eight 150V JANSR2N7589U3 radiation-hardened (rad-hard) MOSFETs to drive a two-winding bipolar stepper motor. Applications include motor control and isolated/non-isolated DC-DC converters for satellites, deep-space probes and nuclear facilities..
High-Reliability Motor Control Solutions This static demo in a wedge format showcases our high-reliability motor control solutions that include control (FPGA/MCU), communication (CAN/Ethernet), data acquisition (LX4580), power (MOSFETs, HPDs, PMICs) and protection (TVS) components.

11 kW, Three-Phase PFC Demonstration

Application

The 11 kW, three-phase PFC demo is a modular, high-power platform showcasing dsPIC33 Digital Signal Controllers (DSCs) with SiC FETs for efficient, three-phase AC-DC conversion. Designed for automotive on-board chargers, it also fits industrial and telecom power applications and supports rapid prototyping via plug-in control modules and CAN-based PC control.
