Features:
The MCP22301 USB PD Sink Board was designed as a compact and cost-effective USB Power Delivery sink device.
The board is a low-cost evaluation platform for Microchip's MCP22301 Standalone Programmable USB Power Delivery (PD) Controller.
It is RoHS-compliant design that meets the standards of the USB Type-C™ Connector as well as the USB Power Delivery (PD) 3.2 specification.
Furthermore, it provides a quick and easy way of replacing the standard power connector(barrel plug) in any application with a small form factor, reversible Type-C connector.
This bus-powered evaluation platform supports Dead Battery mode along with eight preset Power Delivery Objects (PDOs) , selectable through the onboard rotary switch. It can support unique custom defined PDOs with additional configuration of the PDS, if required.
The available source capabilities and the negotiated voltage and current are displayed on the Graphic User Interface (GUI), using the MCP2221A Breakout Module.
