Overview

The WFI32E04 HPC Curiosity board is an easy-to-use tool to evaluate performance of PIC32MZ-W1 and WFI32 Wi-Fi MCU family. This full featured development board supports system level prototyping and IoT cloud connectivity with voice control.

The board includes integrated headers that make it easy to connect to a variety of devices such as our XPro boards. It also supports MIKROE Click boards™ through two on-board mikroBUS™ ports.

The WFI32E04 Curiosity Board has the PICkit On-board (PKOB4) debugger based on a “ATSAME70N21B” USB Microcontroller. Additionally, it supports external debuggers, such as MPLAB REAL ICE, MPLAB ICD5 by connecting to the ICSP™ header.

Getting Started: WFI32E04 HPC Curiosity Board Out of the Box (OOB) Demo

  • WFI32E04UC, a 60 GPIO Wi-Fi® MCU module with 2 MB flash, U.FL antenna and Trust&GO secure element
  • Two mikroBUS™ sockets provide expanded functionality using MIKROE Click boards™
  • PICkit™ on-board USB type-C socket for power supply
  • Supports for multiple Microchip Ethernet PHY daughter boards
  • Includes two user programmable LED’s plus on-board temperature sensor, user configurable switch, reset switch, two GPIO headers, 20 pin XPRO header, PKOB4 and PTA header
  • 32 MB external SPI flash memory
  • ICSP™ header for connecting external debuggers such as MPLAB® ICD 5, MPLAB PICkit 4/5 and MPLAB Snap
