Overview
This Dual In-line Module (DIM) features a dsPIC33AK256MPS306 64-pin TQFP Digital Signal Controller (DSC) device. It can be used to evaluate the entire dsPIC33AK256MPS306 DSC family for motor control applications. It supports using both the three on-chip op amps, or MCS inverter board-based op amps for motor current feedback, such as the MCLV-48V-300W or MCHV-230VAC-1.5kW development boards. Note that this DIM is not compatible with the older MCLV-2 [DM330021-2] or MCHV [DM330023-2 or DM330023-3] PIM based inverter boards.

The Motor Control System (MCS) Development Tool Ecosystem enables you to rapidly develop motor control designs controlled by dsPIC® DSCs, SAM, PIC32MK, PIC32MC, and PIC32C MCUs. The MCS Development Tool Ecosystem consists of modular and interchangeable inverter boards, controller boards (Dual In-line Modules or DIMs), and Xplained Pro headers for user defined expansion. The MCHV-230VAC-1.5kW Motor Control High-Voltage Development Board is targeted to drive a three-phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), Brushless DC (BLDC) Motor or an AC Induction Motor (ACIM) in both sensored and sensorless operation.

The Motor Control System (MCS) Development Tool Ecosystem enables rapid prototyping of motor control designs using the dsPIC® DSCs, SAM, PIC32MK, PIC32MC and PIC32C MCUs. The MCS Development Tools consist of modular and interchangeable inverter boards, controller boards (Dual In-Line Modules or DIMs) and expansion boards. DIMs and expansion boards must be purchased separately, see the links for the MC DIMs below. The MCLV-48V-300W Inverter Board is targeted to drive a low-voltage (12-48V) three-phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) or Brushless DC (BLDC) motor up to 25A RMS continuous per phase at 25°C.
