Overview


The PC-controlled application board enables designers to easily build their own battery management system. It is controlled by an ATmega128 controller board via a GUI. Software control of the application board is done via the PC's serial port or USB port.

The PC acts as operating system with a powerful GUI to demonstrate and evaluate ATA6870, featuring:
BMS board hardware:
-3 ATA6870 for up to 18 battery cells in a stack
-BMS Board stackable, up to 16 ATA6870
-Includes battery cell emulator for 18 battery cells
-MOSFETs for charge balancing
-Potentiometer to emulate temperature measurement
-Serial gateway to PC for GUI operation
-Power down mode

-On the fly discharge of individual cells
