Overview

The Serial Memory SPI Evaluation Kit (EV20F92A) is an easy-to-use interactive user tool that demonstrates the best-in-class features, functionality and low-power operation of Microchip SPI Serial EEPROM devices. The included Graphical User Interface (GUI) makes it easy for engineers and developers to configure and evaluate SPI Serial EEPROMs, shortening the overall development time needed to bring new designs from prototype to production.

  • Supports Microchip's SPI Interface Protocol
  • Variable Socket VCC Voltage
    • Variable from 1.8V to 5.5V
    • Controlled via inputs from the Graphical User Interface (GUI)
  • Includes SPI Graphical User Interface (GUI)
    • Supports Windows® 7 or higher operating systems
    • Utilizes USB interface to communicate with user's PC
  • Supports USB Base Board firmware update via the FLexible In-system Programming (FLIP) Software Utility
  • Contains AT90USB1287, 8-bit AVR® Microcontroller
    • 128KB Flash, 64-pin, USB controller

The Serial Memory SPI Evaluation Kit includes the following:

  • SPI Socket Board (04-11160)
  • USB Base Board (02-10682)
  • Various loose Microchip SPI Serial EEPROM devices
  • Information Sheet
  • China RoHS Declaration of Conformity

For the Serial Memory SPI Evaluation Kit to function properly, the following hardware and software requirements must be met:  

  • PC compatible system
  • An available USB port on PC
  • At least 77.4 MB of free disk space
  • Windows®7 or higher operating systems(1)

Note 1:   Testing has been performed on a 64-bit Windows®10 operating system.
