Affordable, Flexible Debug for Embedded Development
Our OpenOCD Debug Probe is a compact, low-cost USB debug probe designed to help developers quickly connect, debug and communicate with embedded targets. Built for OpenOCD-based workflows, it provides a practical solution for board bring-up, firmware development and system validation. It includes four target-facing ports to cover common debug and system-access needs.
With support for standard debug and serial interfaces, the probe gives developers a convenient way to access target systems through a single tool. The hardware is designed around a dedicated debug interface architecture and includes standard connector options for easy integration into our microprocessor development boards.
Development Workflow Flexibility
The OpenOCD Debug Probe fits naturally into modern embedded software workflows. Developers can use it with OpenOCD in Microsoft® Visual Studio® Code (VS Code®) for a streamlined editing, build and debug experience. It can also complement our software workflows, including using with MPLAB Extensions where an open and flexible debug setup is preferred.
This makes the probe especially useful for developers who want the freedom of open-source tooling while continuing to work within Microchip-focused development environments.
