  • Capable of greater than 14 TB capacities with the NVMe2108HC controller (assumes 256 Gb+ monolithic NAND die density, ~1000:1 NAND:DRAM ratio, and accounts for over-provisioning and inline ECC overhead). Greater capacities possible per customer implementation.
  • Encryption (XTS-AES-256 as defined in the IEEE P1619 specification)
  • True Random Number Generator (TRNG). Standardscompliant IP (FIPS 140-2, NIST SP 800-90B, BSI AIS-31) for generating cryptographic keys, initialization vectors, cookies, nonces, and seeds
  • Integrated temperature sensing diode. For optimal temperature results, use a remote temperature sensing product that supports resistance cancellation and beta compensation features, such as a Texas Instruments TMP421YZDT
  • Power fault and abrupt shutdown without data loss or corruption

Summary

The Flashtec® NVMe 2108 PCIe Flash controller supports the standard NVM Express (NVMe™) host interface, and is optimized for high-performance 4 KB random read/write operations, performing all flash management operations on-chip and consuming negligible host processing and memory resources. Advanced ECC enables current and future architectures with next-generation NAND technologies, and programmable architecture enables SSD product differentiation through firmware customization. Up to 16 GB of DDR4 with 8 Gb components is supported and controllers support the popular 2.5" and M.2 form factors. Flashtec controllers support the industry’s highest mainstream capacity SSD solutions, optimized for enterprise and data center workloads.
