The Microchip's ARM®-based SAM9XE256 is a member of the Microchip SAM9XE series of microcontrollers based on the high-performance 32-bit ARM926EJ processor. It operates at a maximum speed of 160MHz and features 256KB of flash memory and 16KB of SRAM. The peripheral set includes two USB 2.0 Full Speed device ports , Ethernet MAC 10/100 port, image sensor Interface, four USARTs, two UARTs, two SPIs, SSC, two TWIs (I2C), two multimedia card Interfaces, six 16-bit timers, RTT and four 10-bit ADCs. It also features an external bus interface interfacing NAND flash memory, SDRAM and static memory. The SAM9XE256 is supplied in a 208-pin PQFP or 217-ball BGA package. The pinout and ball-out are fully compatible with the SAM9260.
SAM-BA software provides an open set of tools for in-system programming of internal and external memories connected to our 32-MCUs and MPUs. You can program your device through the JTAG, debug UART or USB interfaces.
