Abstract

This webinar talks about the control system design for power converters. Control system design is a very important aspect for power converter design process. Firstly the necessity of control system , design objectives and performance metrics are discussed. Next various control methods for power converters, their advantages and disadvantages, performance metrics are presented with system level block diagrams that can be directly implemented using simulation tools like MATLAB. This webinar is a primer for control system design process for power converters.

Anusheel is an applications engineer with Microchip?s Digital Signal Controller Division (DSCD). He has over 2 years of experience in the motor control industry, and he has previously worked with Northland Motor Technologies NY as a systems engineer responsible for executing new-product development projects. He has a bachelor?s degree in computer science and engineering from Indian Institute of technology, Kanpur, and a masters in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Wisconsin ? Madison. He is based in Microchip?s Bangalore, India Design Center.
