Topics include: Inrush current and soft-start, input transients, low or high input supply voltages, Over-voltage and Over-current conditions , voltage trimming, remote sense, power supply sequencing, load sharing among power supply modules, and EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) issues.

Bill Hutchings is a Product Marketing Manager with Microchip Technology's Digital Signal Controller Division (DSCD). He has over nineteen years of experience in the embedded systems and semiconductor industries, and has previously worked with Freescale Semiconductor as a Systems and Applications Engineer responsible for new product development and marketing. Bill also worked at Motorola in design and systems engineering, as well as project leadership. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University, and a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University. Bill is a patent holder and is based in Microchip's Chandler, Arizona offices.
