rs-232 and ds33fj128mc804

I got explorer 16 and ds33fj128mc804 i am trying to make rs232 connection to pc but my problem is ds33fj128mc804 uart pins are not connected to the inputs of the development board?I am looking for a way to connect my uart2 RX and TX to the pins 49 and 50 in the development board to use rs-232.

The ds33fj128mc804 has a Peripheral Pin Select function which allows you to remap the peripheral i/o to virtually any of the package pins in software. It is a good idea to read a device datasheet and reference manual prior to starting a development.

i solved my problem finally soldering two empty pins to correspond pin 49 and pin 50 on the board because max232 is connected to pin49 and pin 50(uart2 RX-TX)

Hmm, looks like the PIM developers failed to route these important pins at all. Sorry for misunderstanding your problem and for mentor tone[:@]

Good catch see if we can make a picture of the PIM itself which shows this issue to put this at the E16 list
