PIC4550/ Maximum speed through SPP-SIE Mode

I am able to read 1023 bytes/ mSec from PIC to PC using Isochronous mode of transfer and SPP in USB-SIE mode. :-)

    this means 1023 KBPS ==> ~ 8 Mbps ; is that right.
if sth wrong, correct me. my Iso EP polling time is 1ms and Iso_Size is 1023.

when I do continously IN transaction from HOST then I achieve this speed.

Can you please tell me how you did it. I'm also trying desperately to do the same with no luck. If you can send me the source code it'll be really appreciated.

    Thank you in advance

can you give me your email ID. i am not able to upload the project here, as the size is pretty high. I can post the USB sniffer dump here.

I am not so sure if Parihar still reads the forum. Maybe you guys can send him an email.

You guys can also try the other example here:

So, 8M baud rate is now the new PIC USB record?
I knew HID will run at much slower communication baud rate.

In a way it is a record. But it is using SPP (8 bits), kind of parallel.

It is theoretical maximum, isn't it?

It is the theoretical maximum for full speed USB isochronous transfer. The theoretical maximum speed for full speed USB bulk transfer is higher at 1.216 MB/sec (19x64B per ms).

    http://www.microchip.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=417509

Mike can achieve 1024.725 KB/sec with PIC32 using bulk transfer.

    Hi jeyakannan,

This thread was about S-P-P (streaming parallel port)
Does your pic have such ?

<edit> ... and SD card readers usually do not use isochronous mode wink
