DM160225 3DTouchPad

Bought from http://www.microchip.com/...s.aspx?PartNO=DM160225
Windows 10 PC x64
With the included 3DTouchPadGUI_1.2.13 it demonstrates that it recognizes 3D gestures.
I have been unable to make use of other than 2D touchpad mode in Windows 10.
The 3D gestures produce a few unexpected results in Windows Apps.
Sometimes Icons change seemingly unrelated to the 3D gestures.
The SDK apps work.
There is no code for the firmware in the device.
Though the 3D gestures may work in some other OS they do not work as expected in Windows 10.
I wonder if the gestures were translated into other codes to the PC maybe the scroll wheel for example might work.
The gui setup and the sdk include software to update the internal firmware but I am unable to find the source code for the firmware.
Can anyone shed any light on this device ?

    Hi,
I'd like to buy DM160225 and I have the same questions. Could you give me more information, please? Did you manage to make it work in Windows 10? Is it possible to manually enable/disable 3D touch? What are the dimension of touchpad?
    Thanks
