Hi Gilbert,

There are several ways to use this board with MPLABX IDE. One of the easiest ways I like is to use the export hex feature of MPLABX. Just right click on the project name and select Export Hex option, it will compile and pop up a window to let you choose a name and location to save the hex file. Once saved, just drag and drop...:)

Thanks,
Mamun

Thank You very much.
Ti's so easy!
In Mplab X IDE, We can trace the library more easy, just by pressing CTRL botton and move to the keyword.
It will change the color to blue and a hyperlink.

Just as a side question to this -- can you debug with breakpoints, etc., as you would if you were using Pickit 3?  I just got an XPress Evaluation Board and don't know what debugger to use in the MPLAB X project menu.  Selecting 'third party debuggers' doesn't seem to connect to anything.

I'm hoping I can use MPLAB X instead of the web-based XPress system.  But using Pickit 3 with the board appears to require soldering separate wires to the bottom of the board.

Thanks for any word on this.

Hi everyone,
I may have missed something... I can't program/debug the xpress board with MPLABX.
The project and the settings I set are the same as in GilbertSu's first attached picture. Can anybody help please?

Dear Mamun,
Is it possible to get access to Xpress Evaluation Board directly in MPLABX ? I mean by choosing an appropriate Programmer/Debugger in the Project properties panel ?
This should be possible by installing a driver, but I failed to install the driver for MPLABX Express cloud based IDE. This is probably because I have already Java installed on my Mac Os High Sierra.
Is there a way to force Driver installation for Mac Os High Sierra ?

I'm surprised there are no further post or answers. I have a PIC32 board but just got the Xpress board because I wanted to use some less expensive processors for other tasks.

I'm surprised, it seems, it can't connect directly to MPLAB X.

My configuration:
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) with MacOS High Sierra (10.13.3) and MPLAB X IDE v4.15

Curiosity PIC MZ EF, PIC24F Curiosity, and XPRESS EVAL BOARD (PIC16F18855).
