inacurately red squiggly underlined variables

This is another issue that's been going on for years now. Sometimes MPLAB X starts underlining stuff in red, even though it is correct and will compile perfectly fine. My only solution is to restart the program.
Overall I'm very happy with MPLAB X, just a few things that I wish got fixed at some point (from one programmer to another)...

    It is true the red bangs have been a source concern for a long time. There is not one simple solution to fix everything that occurs when this happens.
    If one thinks of the IDE as a totally separate tool to the compiler it does help try to understand the paradigm. The IDE is NOT the compiler so it is necessary to feed all the compiler details into the parser correctly for each device not just each compiler.
    We are working on this and have been for a while. We are getting closer but totally understand we are not there yet. Some architectures like PIC32 and PCI24/33s behave a lot more reliably than the 8 bit. It is not necessary to try to explain in depth all the facets of this issue but re-assured we do have this as a high focus among the other tasks of supporting new silicon device that stream out.
    Thanks for your patience.

    Still no fix, underlined errors in C comments.
    Got rid of it once but now it is back since deleting mplabx v.4.00 which deleted all my v3.65 settings, colors, open projects, everything.
    back to v3.65

    Untick C/C++/Fortran Comments.

    In the latest version I am seeing things like RC0 underlined red, with pop-ups saying they are unrecognized names, even though they are in fact correct.

    Yes, that's exactly what has been complained about for years.
