New user / moderator approval

I have tried to several times to post questions over the last two days.  My questions concern timer interrupts in assembly using the PIC24 microcontroller family.  My attempted posts conform to the forum rules, but they have not been approved by moderators.  I don't understand why my legitimate posts have not been approved and I have not been allowed to participate in this community yet spammers seem to have no trouble in posting their illegitimate material. (see screen capture image)

Your problem is that you are expecting things to make sense.

Andersm  has the answer.

Sadly the forums have been blasted by spambots like crazy, hence swamping moderators.

The official helpdesk should get a reply, but just depends on workload for the queue's.

Sometime just hitting a few keywords will bring up a knowledge link letting you make progress.

TIP:  Do put a location in your profile. If it is someone local, and I have some idea's to help often we can meet over lunch.  Nice excuse to get out of the office, and never hurts to meet someone new (quite happy at my new job, but still enjoy bouncing idea's off other people over lunch).

I encountered similar problem as the OP, so I am trying to find a solution. This is a testing post.

Same problem for me, is posting a few answers before posting a new thread helpful in order to overcome this issue?

If you attempted to post over a weekend, and especially a holiday, the moderators might not be available, and may be swamped (or hung over) when they return ;)

It's a good idea to start with a simple post, and perhaps compose it using a separate text editor and then copy/paste into the forum. Sometimes entire posts will refuse to be accepted (without notice why), and the "naughty words" filter will cause the post to disappear and sometimes cause the "blinky" problem, that can be corrected by adding more posts.
