TCPIP Stack missing from current MLA

I plan to use the Microchip TCPIP stack with the XC8 compiler, however it is only available from the legacy MLA. Is microchip dropping support for the TCPIP stack outwith Harmony? This would be odd, since Harmony does not currently support 8 or 16 bit devices.

From the release notes [1] it is unclear whether it is dropped or just missing temporarily:

"Given the amount of changes, not everything has been ported. Again, during the transition period, both Current MLA and Legacy MLA are available. And overtime, more of what was in Legacy MLA will continued to be ported to the Current MLA; including libraries, demos, and hardware support."

Hi,
I personnally like to stay with the legacy MLA from june 2013.
It contains stable stacks for all families and lots of examples. Exactly what is needed for an embedded design ;=)
Latest is often the ennemy of stable ;=)
Regards
