Proteus VSM Viewer does not start

Hi ,
I followed the getting started guide, but the Proteus VSM Viewer does not open.
I CAN open the Proteus ISIS software.
What can I do?
John

    Try Proteus support?

There's no problem with Proteus--MPlab won't open it automatically like the "Getting Started" project is supposed to do.

This has been my problem also.

I followed the GettingStarted instructions to the letter several times. Then I thought, just in case, I'll uninstall Proteus and try again, including the Tools -> plugins step. Same result: Proteus doesn't open.
Furthermore, the other option specified in GettingStarted doesn't work, either (the one that says "if you don't have Proteus"). The UART1 output window never comes up. (It's supposed to say "Success"!)

Perhaps related: Is it OK (and is it necessary) to follow the GettingStarted process with the specific instructions for using the XC 16 compiler and such if one is not in fact going to use that compiler?

    Thanks
