HID USB Bootloader not connecting to PC (PIC18F2550)
I have built a board with a PIC18F2550 and when I try to connect it to the PC, the device is not detected (nothing happens at all).
The pic is flashed with the firmware provided by the application libraries. Although I use the hex that is built for 18F4550, I have used this firmware on a 18F2550 before without problems.
In fact, none of my hex's that use USB (and have worked before) seem to result in the PIC being detected by the PC.
I have tested led-blinking programs and they work fine, so I suppose the problem is in the USB part.
I have read through this thread http://www.microchip.com/...tree=true&m=695983
but it didn't fix the problem.
One thing I have noticed is that when the button connected to RB4 (bootloader jumper) is pressed, the Vusb and D+ go from 0V to 3.3V, indicating that the chip goes into boot mode. This happens WITHOUT resetting the device! This is not supposed to happen I think, so this might be linked to the problem..
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
