Part Number Decoder

Is there a Microchip PN decoder for the 16-bit micros?

For instance, PIC24FV32KA304 as opposed to PIC24F32KA304. Now, I'm guessing the extra "V" is for 5.5V capable. Maybe, maybe not, that's just a pattern that I see. There are so many part #s, a decoder would be handy.
    Thanks.

It's in the Datasheet. Look for PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM.

Guess I'll just need to open every PIC24 family datasheet! There's about 20.
Thanks for the observation, that will be helpful. Since Microchip has an order to their part numbering system, a higher level decoder would help newbees like myself. I've used the spreadsheet type filters. Thanks again.

There are ways where you can narrow down your search based on the features you're looking for, irregardless of what the PIC name is. For example, this:
    https://www.microchip.com.aps/microcontroller.aspx

    or this:

    https://www.microchip.com...art.aspx?branchID=1005

Frankly I don't know the difference, but it should get you started.
