Open source USB 1.1 stack running on PIC16F628/628A !!!

Hi,

I just found out an amazing project : http://www.lendlocus.com/?q=16fusb

It is hosted on sourceforge : http://www.lendlocus.com/?q=16fusb

By using a newer 32MHz PIC16F1xxx device, there would be no need to "overclock" the PIC16F628/628A ;=)

Regards

other than an interesting experiment, one would have to ask "Why?"
for $1 more I can purchase a 24F with USB hardware

If anyone is interested, the "USB in software" now has been ported to PIC12F1822. It's the only USB PIC with 8 pins Smile

I can think of one application for an 8 pin USB chip: USB => 5V power cables that can actually negotiate for 500mA! LoL mr green
