how connect dspic33fj128mc202 to program with pickit3

hi all,
i have 44-pin demo board with 18f45k20 and pickit 3 and i can program it ok, but i'm trying to program dspic33fj128mc202 with pickit3 and i would like to know how program it.
can i program dspic33 without use external power as 44-pin demo board?
I have connected dspic33 so:
pin 1 pickit3 - pin 1 dspic33 mclr
pin 2 pickit3 - pin 13 dspic33 (with a condensator 0,1uf vss)
pin 3 pickit3 - pin  8 & 19 dspic33
pin 4 pickit3 - pin 11 dspic33 (PGD)
pin 5 pickit3 - pin 12 dspic33 (PGC)

i need to connect vddcore too? and avdd? could i connect vddcore to vdd from pickit3 pin 2?

i just want to test if pickit3 connect with dspic33. So, i need an external xtal or dont need it if i use pickit3 power and internal oscillator?

i dont find any information about pickit3 and dspic33 connection to be used without external power supply. Just want start lighting one led.

thanks in advance.

    PICkit 2/3 / ICD2/3 pinout: (Pin1 = arrow mark on PICkit 2/3)

    1: MCLR via 470R resistor
    2: Vdd (3.3V for dsPIC)
    3: Gnd
    4: PGD
    5: PGC
    6: not connected.

Your dsPIC33f will need 3.3V Vdd on all it's Vdd pins, within max / min parameters. The Avdd is recommended to be connected to Vdd via a 10ohm resistor, and decoupled with a 4.7uF capacitor.

For _MCLR, 100nF one side to ground, other side to MCLR, and 10K resistor, one side to MCLR, other to Vdd.

PGD / PGC should be connected to PGD/C 1 / 2 / 3, dependant on device specs. Obviously use same channel for both PGD and PGC. Specifiy which PGD/PGC pair you're using in the code config bits, or the MPLAB settings.

Edit: VddCORE goes to a 4.7uF - 10uF capacitor, the other side to ground. *DO NOT* connect VddCORE to Vdd, it's an internal 2.5V regulator output, and just needs the 4.7uF - 10uF capacitor to ground.
    /Edit

This should be detailed in the minimum connection pinout, in your device document. Don't load PGD/PGC with too much, and have the PCB traces as short as possible. I've used an LED and resistor tied to those same pins before without problems, your mileage may vary.

    Totally wrong.

The MCLR pin should be isolated from a capacitor with another resistor, otherwise the ICSP will not work. See the GUIDELINES FOR GETTING STARTED WITH 16-BIT DIGITAL SIGNAL CONTROLLERS  and Master Clear (/MCLR) pin sections in a datasheet for details and schematics.

A 470ohm resistor, from the R/C junction, to the ICSP header.

It's worked for me without that resistor even though I include it in current designs.
