SPI Bus Modes

SPI Modes     CKP     CKE
00                0         1
01                0         0
10                1         1
11                1         0

MSSP Module: SPI

Can anyone please help me understand the following modes of the PIC16F877A?
I would to ask if it is possible that the master bus mode is different from the slave bus mode?

    Here at the E16 list you can find info about spi mode

    It is possible that mode is different the master sends at rising edge and slave reads at falling edge or something simular

    So you mean I could have my master operate at mode 11 and my slave operates at mode 01?What are the things that we need to consider in choosing the mode?
