If you are a beginner with USB and PIC micros, you might like to have a look at this:

http://www.silicondevices.com/Resources/EvalCards/PIC18F2550testcard.htm

It is basically a log of what I had to do to get a PC to HID link up and running using a PIC18F2550, the HID bootloader and HID protocol stack.

It is written from the perspective of a hardware engineer (rather than a software person) uses the microchip project files and is intended to get you started with the re-development of the PC GUI, its Hid.dll control code and the PIC assembler code for your own application.

Comments and feedback appreciated.

I need a program to perform communication USB with PIC18F4550 in C18. I'm doing a project called "cashless" using Smart Card. First I have to create a USB communication circuit. My email is romulood7@hotmail.com

Hello,

I know I must did something wrong but do not know what. I download the "Microchip Application Libraries Help Files" from Microchip Applicaton Libraries site. The file looked OK. After I extracted the contents from the zipped file. I can open the help file (.chm) and I could see the index contents on the left pane. But when I clicked on the help page under each topic, I got "The address is not valid" page on the right pane.

I am using Windows XP machine with IE 7.0.
