Original costs of early PIC uC

Hi All

I wonder if anyone can help me on this? I've been looking for some prices of the older PIC ICs for an assignment for my college students. I'm going to ask them to look at the development of uC over the last 30 years. I'm specifically looking at the 16C84 which I believe was introduced in 1993. I also believe it was one of the first low cost uC widely available but I'm not sure what 'low cost' means?

Anyone remember how much they were back then? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yep. Apologies for that. I wasn't sure if I had posted the previous one. I will try to delete it today.

    You can't delete threads.
I just posted the link to make sure no-one tries to answer in this thread without realising the question has already been answered.
