Harmony 3 content manager fails to open

Windows 10
MPLab 5.35
Harmony launcher 3.6.2

When I try to launch the harmony 3 content manager, the next button goes grey and nothing happens.
I do get this error A java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError exception has occurred

I have tried to set a new directory for Harmony c:/test/Harmony. This did not work.

Also of note, if I go to tools>options>plugins and then under the configurator 3 tab. I cannot change anything, or more specifically, if I change any setting as soon as I click apply it goes back to the previous setting.

I have updated Java, with no luck.

I am out of ideas on where to go with this issue.

If your MCU is supported by Harmony 2.06, Harmony v2 is a faster option.

Here are something which I usually try:
Do a Clean uninstallation. Do not keep any old version`s caches.
Do not use other copy of Java.  Use MPLAB`s own Java.
Delete the old Harmony v3 directory. Then, install it again.
Also, delete everything about MPLAB and Harmony in your user, roaming, local directories etc.

    Thanks WeHongKongers,

I tried a lot of things to try to get it working, reinstall MPLAB, reinstall Harmony 3, update Java etc.

In the end, it was something associated with my user profile. I logged in as a co-worker and Harmony 3 worked just fine. Went back to my profile and it was still broken.

So in the end, all I believe I had to do was wipe out anything associated with Harmony in my user profile. I also wiped anything to do with MPLAB in my user profile at the same time.

    Hi Ragz,
I have exactly the same problem!
Also I did everything to clean the cashes, new install, delete old Java, but no results!
From the MPLAB 5.45 logs I saw that the MHC places a '';'' to the end
of one line and see it as an unexpected end terminator.
If you find a solution, please post it here!

    Thanks
    Miki

I forgot to specify: I have the same Windows 10 and Harmony launcher 3.6.2 and MPLAB 5.45, but I have also MPLAB5.30 installed in same time and I had old Java 8 SDK installed before 1th Jan 2021!
Even on the git the MHC is 3.7.0 the plugin from MPLAB sees only 3.6.2 version!
    Thanks
    Miki

    mikinoel,

My previous post was my solution. It had to do with my user profile. When I logged into my computer with another co-workers credentials, everything worked fine. Therefore, it had something to do with the files stored in my user profile.
I deleted everything to do with Harmony and MPLAB in my user profile. That solved the issue. I rebooted, and everything connected properly. I am not sure specifically which files were corrupt, as I just wiped them all out.
