LAN7801 Bricked?

Hi,
I recently had a LAN7801 that failed the program and now I am unable to have it register via USB. Is there any way to factory reset this device or hard reset the device if it will not connect via USB? I was looking through the documentation and perhaps it is listed and I'm missing it but I cannot find a way to accomplish this.

Hi,
If an OTP configuration has not been programmed correctly in LAN7801, there is a way to disable it so that a new one can be programmed. (Look at the explanation from the first bye of the configuration)
This is described in the datasheet , section 10.2  under "application note" : change the byte 0 to 0xF7 and write new content starting from 0x101.
If you mess up the second one...then the device is not usable anymore
Regards

For support make sure to check first here : http://microchipdeveloper.com
There are hundreds of PIC, AVR, SAM...which one do YOU use ?

I am currently unable to write anything to the device because it will not enumerate as a USB device. So I am assuming that the device is permanently bricked? In short, none of the configuration tools can find the device anymore.
