Microchip customer support
Where is the Microchip customer support link in Microchip web site? I can't find out it. Can Microchip provide a link? Best Regards, Jingxia

To get a useful answer, always state which PIC you are using!

Seems that Microchip has transferred their official support venue to another entity. The domain is "force.com", which redirects to: https://www.salesforce.com/products/platform/products/force/?d=70130000000f27V&internal=true I haven't submitted a support ticket for quite a while, and I don't know if things work the same way. When I first started programming PICs over 20 years ago, with my only experience with embedded designs being 8085 and Z80, I couldn't figure out why some variables (file registers) were changing value unexpectedly. I called Microchip in Chandler and actually spoke with an engineer who kindly and patiently informed me about bank switching. I don't expect that level of support now, but generally I have not had much luck with support tickets. Now I always find answers by posting here, or just using an internet search which provides many sources of information.

Dan, I think your post must have uploaded milliseconds before mine. I wasn't trying to repeat what you posted.

But presumably moves it onto a web server NOT controlled by the "experts" who maintain the server this forum runs on ...

Hi, Since introduction of MPLAB X, Harmony and Microchip Code Configurator, Microchip Support seem to have been overwhelmed with support requests. I have not made many support tickets, but the problem I presented some time back, got competent attention and correct advise. Although with some response time. Introduction of the Salesforce database and new webserver, may seem to be part of some reorganizing to eventually reduce the backlog. There are some messages indicating that webservers react differently to different web browsers. Mysil

My last ticket took over a week to get a reply. I made the mistake of not reading errata for pic I was using. Datasheet says it does USB, errata sheet says no. So wasted a pcb.
