The IDE that cried wolf...

I'm a relative newcomer to MPLAB X (now running v5.40), and there's a lot to like about it compared to, say Atmel Studio.  But one thing that's bothering me is all of the warnings that show up in the editor window.

Question: Should I be concerned about all of the warnings that show up in the editor (but not in the compiler)?

For example:
Attachments are not available: Download requirements not met
None of the flagged lines are incorrect, and the compiler accepts them without error or warning.

But as somebody who is a little obsessive about writing clean, accurate code, these warnings trip me up.  Is there a way to fix this, or at least make them go away?

Jim's google search unearthed this nugget:
We are working on this and have been for a while. We are getting closer but totally understand we are not there yet.

As a newcomer, perhaps I was expecting too much from the MPLAB X IDE, especially the new version 5.40.  I shall reset my expectations accordingly.
