Compatibility of Keeloq ICs with RF Tx/Rx ICs

I'm trying to make a Remote Keyless Entry system. I have chosen HCS360 Keeloq Encoder and HCS515 Keeloq Decoder, along with ATA8402 RF Transmitter and ATA8202 RF Receiver.
In ATA8202 RF Receiver datasheet, it says,
Prevailing encryption protocols such as Keeloq® are easily supported due to the receiver’s ability to hold the current data slicer threshold for up to 52ms when incoming RF telegrams contain a blanking interval.
Prior to this, I had not given a thought about the compatibility of the Keeloq ICs and the RF Transmitters/Receivers. So,
  1. What makes the RF IC compatible or incompatible to the Keeloq IC?
  2. I don't find such statement of compatibility in ATA8402 TX IC. Does it mean, it's not compatible and I've to change the IC?
