MPLAB X IDE v3.50

Hi
I am using MPLAB X IDE for my applications
I am facing some issues in code as follows
1.The code gets compiled without checking extern variables and extern functions
2.In sprintf function , the code gets compiled eventhough when i put lower/greater number of format specifiers than the number of values. ex: sprintf("%d%f",value1,value2,value3);
3.The code is working abnormally in many random situations and working normal when switched ON again
My main doubt is with the software tool only, so how can i solve these issues?
please someone share your suggestions

Thanks

    [1] Why are you using such an old IDE?
    [2] Your questions are mainly about the C compiler, but you have not revealed which C compiler you are using.
    The IDE supports many compilers.

    sprintf("%d%f", value1, value2, value3);

    Try this:
    char buffer[100];

    sprintf(buffer, "%d%f\r", value1, value2, value3);
    puts(buffer);

    With that, I would not blame the compiler.

    MPLab X playing up, bug in your code? Nevermind, Star Trek:Discovery will be with us soon.

    Hi
    I am also using MPLAB X IDE V5.35 version for my new applications
    What you have said is right that that mplab x ide v3.50 does not know about this pic18f27q10
    And i am using xc8 v2.10 version compiler
    But even with this condtions,
    the variables and functions which are not externed and used are compiled and code is builded
    next the code works abnormally in random conditions and works correct when switched off and on again
    Why these kind of errors occur?
    Thanks
