RN2483; Using OTAA; How to switch off channels

RN2483 firmware version 1.0.5
Frequency Plan EU863-870, 868 MHZ

We send the following commands to the RN2483 module:

sys factoryRESET
mac set class c
mac set appkey c5093fd66d5d84f9f226c92470f9abaa
mac set appeui 0000000000000000
mac save
mac join otaa

When using OTAA (mac join otaa), the RN2483 will configure the channels automatically:

Channel 0: status: on, freq: 868100000, dcycle: 302, drrange: 0 5
Channel 1: status: on, freq: 868300000, dcycle: 302, drrange: 0 5
Channel 2: status: on, freq: 868500000, dcycle: 302, drrange: 0 5
Channel 3: status: on, freq: 867100000, dcycle: 999, drrange: 0 5
Channel 4: status: on, freq: 867300000, dcycle: 999, drrange: 0 5
Channel 5: status: on, freq: 867500000, dcycle: 999, drrange: 0 5
Channel 6: status: on, freq: 867700000, dcycle: 999, drrange: 0 5
Channel 7: status: on, freq: 867900000, dcycle: 999, drrange: 0 5

Question 1:
But we want to switch off channel 3 - 5.
To do this, we send the commands in this order to the RN2483 module:

mac factoryRESET
mac set class c
mac set appkey c5093fd66d5d84f9f226c92470f9abaa
mac set appeui 0000000000000000
mac save
mac join otaa
mac set ch status 3 off
mac set ch status 4 off
mac set ch status 5 off
mac set ch status 6 off
mac set ch status 7 off
mac save

Is that ok?
Or should we not do that ?

Question 2:
We want to set everything to default parameters.
Which commands should then be sent ?

a)
mac reset 868
mac set deveui x  (x = mac get hweui)

b)
mac factoryRESET

Question 3:
Is the deveui set as default value in RN2483, or you have to set the deveui yourself.
For example with the value of hweui.
