Where's the SPI clock in MCC?

Hi,

I've configured an SPI peripheral in MCC. The Pin Manager is letting me select SDI, SDO, and SS1/FSYNC1. But there is no pin selection for the SPI clock. Why not?

And if I assign SS1/FSYNC1 to a pin, I get a flashing red "SS1/FSYNC1" in the Pin Module. What does that mean?

I'm using MPLAB X 5.35, MCC 3.95.0, PIC24FJ256GB406. See attached image

Thank you,
   Bob

Hi
1)The latest version of the PIC24 / dsPIC33 / PIC32MM MCUs library v1.167 lists the SPI clock selection.
2) The custom names of the pins translate into macro function in the generated code. In the present scenario, SS1/FSYNC1 can not be used as a custom name for the pin because of the special character /. The red flash indicates error in the custom name. Deleting / character will remove the red flash.
