The screen grab I posted provides the information required to compile this project.
You need the same compiler the original was made with.
You could import the project as I did into MpLab X 5.35 specifying the same PIC
You could set the compiler include directories to solve the "can not find files" errors.
I will not do your homework for you

You should all watch Dave Jones talk about what Medtronics has made open and for how long:

eevBLAB #72 – BUSTED! Medtronics Open Ventilator FAIL

eevBLAB #73 – Medtronics Open Ventilator + Others UPDATE

The old pharts around here should be cautious enough.

But the new players need to be careful of what they may be signing up for.

I am no lawyer but from what I could understand the IP is "open" for a limited time but the restriction on use does not seem to have an end.

ive done all the above things correctly , i did import all the include files in the config mplab folder , by same compiler you mean same version because i am using mplab , all i want to know is the typedef issue , not asking for anything else.besides its not that ive written the code

MPLabX is not the compiler. I assume XC8 is.

    I assume C18 is.

    I see you are right.
Is there a free version of C18 V3.47?
I am surprised that they picked a PIC to do this back in the day.

    HI,
while i respect dave jones , i didnt like how he started negatively commenting on the documents before hand ,even though the company said other documents like source code and another file will be available soon ,and they did share it on 4th april.

I found the task to compile the code required about 10 minutes of work.
I suggest if you are having a problem compiling the code maybe you should not be working on a ventilator.
I do note the permission to use the files has a time limit or when the pandemic is over.

the company said other documents like source code and another file will be available soon

Until the documents and code are available, it's not "open source".
Until it's released as open source, claiming "we will make it open source" is vaporware.
Touting vaporware for pandemic response is at best moral posturing ("We are so good for doing this!") and at worst will cost lives ("You don't need to develop your own solution - soon you can use ours! ... Oh, sorry, we didn't get it out {as soon as we intended | in a form you can use to manufacture your own}.")

Release it, then announce that you've made it open source.
    Not the other way around.

Dave's comments appear to have been valid at the time they were made.

I think the Intent is to allow other to make this model for now, but not become Competitors in the Future.
How useful that maybe is questionable.

I did point out the problem, if the information I provided is inadequate for you to compile this project maybe this project is not for you.
I provided a screen shot depicting the parts required to compile the code.
This is a "Medical Device", a small error might result in a bad outcome for one making use of any such device produced from this code.
I have no doubt all of the documentation provided by MedTronic is complete and accurate as delivered.
Duplicating this device is a complicated project for a professional with many years experience.

Without specific evidence I do not think you are doing yourself any favors by impugning MedTronic.
