LE ILI9488 Configuration Options v3.6 GFX
From internal and customer feedback we feel there may be some challenges in getting started with the LE ILI9488 Display Driver component when using MHC and its Project Graph for GFX v3.6. Here are some tips to help you if you are experiencing an issue.
Current Release - Issue
In GFX v3.6... On initial selection of LE ILI9488 component, both display interface types are displayed on the component box: Parallel and SPI. On subsequent connection to the LE Parallel (Port Group) component and after code generation, the driver code will be a mixture of SPI and Parallel. If the code is compiled, errors will be reported in the drv_gfx_ili9488.c driver.
In GFX v3.6, the user is required to explicitly set the type to either Parallel or SPI 4-line by selecting the component and explicitly setting the Display Interface Type manually. The interface type is not automatically set on connection to a interface type component.
Two images are attached to help illustrate what is observed initially, what should be manually set, and final fix view after manual set.
In GFX v3.7, the Display Interface Type option will be defaulted to Parallel. On connection to an interface type, the Display Interface Type will automatically be set to the interface with which it is connected. In v3.7, no manual setting is required by the user.
We hope all of the required information is available, but finding solutions may be a challenge to some. Please respond if you are having an issue.
