I think I can change the Lease time on my Home Router too.  I am not sure if the issue is some dialect of DHCP. That they maybe using. I think the change in the authentication serve may have created duplicate IP Addresses. I am not sure what the Stack does with that.  I can see there was alot of re-coding from V 1.11 DHCP Client to V2.06.  I Need to setup a private network with a Short DHCP time an Hammer this.  Plus the DHCP server may need to be the the same as what is at the customer site.

I think that testing first with your home router/dhcp server is a good place to start.
But if that's working just fine, you'll have to try to use the server used by the customer, if possible.
Only that you'll give some confidence. Unfortunately there are differences in how the servers are implemented.
I'll be able to help if you find anything suspicious in the behavior.

An additional question related to this topis.
Subnet mask.
does the Harmony V2.06 DHCP Client accept the Subnet Mask from the DHCP Server?
If yes, it is not in the dhcpInfo Struct.
If No, what is the correct way to set it? with TCPIP_STACK_NetAddressSet()?

Yes, the subnet mask option is accepted and processed.
See:
{ TCPIP_DHCP_SUBNET_MASK, _DHCPOptionProcessSubNet },

DHCP client has the 'dhcpMask' member.

I see it is processed.  It is just not in the dhcpInfo Struct that TCPIP_DHCP_InfoGet() returns.  I may added it in.
It appears that my Issue is that changing the Mask on the Router is not reflected on a Lease Renew.
It needs a Power cycle.
I am not sure what is correct, but will call it "it is what it is"

Yes, it's not part of the TCPIP_DHCP_INFO and it probably should be.
I'll create a request to add it.
However, the mask is used when setting the IP address once the lease is acquired.
You can test this and it should work with no problems.

On Power up the IP and Lease are acquired correctly.
It appears that if the subnet mask is changed on the Router, then the PIC32 Renews it lease, the Change is not reflected on the PIC32.  This does appear to work on a Windows 7 PC.
Not that this is a common occurrence.

I do need to see what the behavior is when the DHCP sever is changed to a different one (with a different Address range).
Again Not Common, but a customer did it and lost communication.

If you can get a wireshark, or share with what router/dhcp server you notice this behavior, we can investigate.
