Cannot install Harmony V3 Packages...

Hi,

I have downloaded MPLAB X v5.35, installed the plugin for Harmony V3, trying to use the harmony content manager, it says connected but local and remote packages are all empty. I have tried all 3 sources, when I check the log I keep getting the same error again and again, "unable to find valid certification path to requested target".

How do I fix this? Or can I just manually download and installer like they used to have?

Tom

    Hi,
Many a time, open source sites, like GitHub and sourceforge, are under strong attack by China Commie because these sites host many software for circumventing network censorship or blocking.  These sites did experience loss of files owing to these attack.

Just try downloading again some days later.

    Tried again, still doesn't work...

Can you try downloading the 3 minimum packages first?  If you download ALL packages simultaneously, it adds up to about 10GB!  I like to download packages one by one when they are needed only.

If it does not work yet, please open ticket at microchip support.

    Hello,
I've got the same problems as the TO. Harmony is unable to download the libs - neither from github nor from any other listed URL. After trying the past 2 days to uninstall and reinstall harmony - always getting the same errors, I found a manual for installing the libs directly from github. Just download the ZIP-archives and extract the files to a "user defined" folder. My 1st trial was using the "Harmony3" folder, that was automatically created from the installation (not a good idea!). Creating a new harmony project and choosing the folder with the libs let display an other error message (e.g. "no valid folder"). So here is, what I've done (and it works):
    0) Download the LIBS from github
    1) Create a new folder (e.g. "Harmony_lib" maybe at root) - do not use the "harmony3" folder
    2) Extract the ZIP files (dev_packs etc) into this folder
    3) Rename the SUB-folders (remove the "-master" part from the folder name)
    4) Create a new harmony 3 project
    5) If asked - browse to the folder "Harmony_lib"
    6) Go on
(just an other info - maybe it is relevant or not: I'm using a WIN7-64bit OS)

    greetings
