Hello, have you tried defining the buffer in Program memory space vs the data memory space? You should be easily able to do that.

What is the point of a buffer in read-only memory?

The compiler should be able to place a buffer of 128 bytes without any issue. I just suggest PFM if the data is not going to change..

Only if there's another 64 bytes of RAM available.  But the OP gave us no clues.

It would be very unusual for someone to refer to read-only data as a "buffer".

Months ago, there is a pattern in his posts.
Kinda like the Airplane Movie when they land the Plane.

MPLab X playing up, bug in your code? Nevermind, Star Trek:Discovery will be with us soon.

His last burst of posts was June 2019.
Maybe there's an employee evaluation happening on June-30...

I was thinking these are old first posts waiting for Microchip approval and they finally have someone to attend to them. Better late than never ... LOL!!!

At least his post contained some content, even if it was misguided.
