Please help me understand PIC32MZ DAR GLCD SRCBLEND and DESTBLEND
Para 54.3.2 says "Each layer has a choice of color output modes...
I had hoped that I could use Layer 1 as a simple color filter using the L8 mode with the palette look-up, allowing me to recolor things on the fly, and then Layer 3 to overlay an image "painted" with the alpha channel (only one color, but a variable color).
In practice, it seems that as soon as one enables the palette (GLCDMODEbits.PGRAMPEN = 1), the palette look-up applies to all layers, regardless of their color mode..
Am I doing something wrong, or is the family datasheet Sect 54 misleading?
I also find the description of 'blending modes' difficult to understand. For a start, the PIC32MZ DAR not only has DESTBLEND but also SRCBLEND pits in each layer's mode control word.
Can anyone point me to something which is a bit easier to understand for a struggling graphics newbie? (that's me..)
