    A laptop is portable.

You need to give more detailed requirements.

It may be sufficient for the projects to be portable.

If you are concerned about license then you can by an XC8 dongle license to use in any machine.

    And so on...

I want to get a copy of the microchip folder that contains MPLAB X IDE, IPE & XC8.

Because I tried to copy this folder to USB and just paste it on another PC but didn't work.

I also installed everything on a shared server, but when I open it in another PC it doesn't work as expected. The XC8 doesn't get recognized at all and the MPLAB X IPE isn't there and I can't get the application of MPLAB X IPE in bin folder.

You can't just copy applications, you have to install them on the PC they are to run on.
Just install MPLABX and XC8 on each PC, and only share the project files.
That should just work if you are using XC8 free mode.
If you have a licence, it depends what sort of licence you have.

I'm sorry I didn't mention the reason why I want to copy it.

Because in my work there are labs/classes around and this time they signed me in another class and the PCs are admin protected which means I can't install any application without admin permission.

I have to call it team and wait for the guy to come and install it by his admin pass.
I just want to save the time for each time I'm assigned to somewhere in the college.

    But there's a solution .. I can use mplabxpress, I has everything.

Remote desktop to the machine where it's installed, if the license allows it.

In your situation, MPLAB Xpress Cloud-Based IDE could be the best option

How ? I tried to launch MPLAB X IDE from the shared server. It launched but IPE and XC8 don't work.

I read a thread here for a member who succeeded to full move MPLAB X to be portable. But the member did some difficult tweaking to get it to work.

I just thought to put this thread to know if there's an easier way to do it. But I think there's not.

Yep, pretty much it would be the best option. I actually was amazed with the features of the online IDE !! Really impressive.
