The processor used is a pic32mx795-512L. All the code has been downloaded in the last 2 days, so it should be the lastest and greatest.....

I just got a new hard drive and uploaded Java,

I don't know your specific problem, but just want to point out that you don't need to install Java at all to use MPLABX.
MPLABX install its own private copy of the JRE, and uses that in preference to anything you have installed.
You should NOT try to replace the version that comes with it.

OK, thanks. I just tried that out of desperation after Harmony 3 would not start. I am sure it's running the version that was installed with the IDE.

Harmony 2 is the only version that works for me. Harmony 1_11 claims it can't find files even though the paths are set correctly.

So, why don't you just stick with Harmony 2_X? If you go through the scarce examples you will see that are not compatible with Harmony 3. The examples are not only just few, there not working with Harmony 3 as well.

For Harmony 1.XX and 2.XX you MUST have the matching version of MHC. MHC is version specific. It is not backwards or forwards compatible.
And you can only have one loaded at a time in a single instance of MPLabX

    OK, Thanks
That might be the issue as I have Harmony 2 and 3 installed now. I loaded 2 after 3 kept having an error. Harmony 2 seems to work fine. After digging deeper into this project I find the 16 bit TCPIP example code is getting me further anyway.

    Thanks
