Problems on Some ENC424J600 Batches (No MAC Address)

I have a project that uses PIC32 in conjunction with ENC424J600 (in SPI mode), and it works perfectly for a few years. A few days ago, I had to buy more units of the ENC424J600, and that's when the problems occurred. Each ENC424J600 must have a MAC address, as shown in the official datasheet. The problem is that all of these components that came in are having MAC address problems, appearing as 00:00:00:00:00:00, and don't work. I checked the forum and noticed that some users are reporting these issues with some batches. In my case, the affected batch is 17293xx and 17336xx. I don't have the PIC source code, just the compiled HEX, so I can't set the MAC address via software.

I already opened a ticket on November 27th, and so far I have not received any response from Microchip, and my clients ask me for a solution. I thought about buying new units, but I don't know which defective batches. How to proceed in this case? Is it possible to "program" the MAC address directly on the ENC424J600?
