Flashing uC with a script without MPLAB

Hello,
Is it possible to flash a hex file to the uC with a script? I did so with ARM microcontrollers, but didn't find any information for the PICs. I use ICD3 programmer. Thank you.

    you can use ipecmd, the command line tool

    As above.
    You have to install MPLABX to get IPECMD, but IPECMD is run from the command line, not via the IDE.

    Thank you, it's working! However there is another question. Where I can found the command line options for the ipecmd? After some googling I've found the parameters that work:
     
    ./ipecmd.sh  -TPICD3 -P32MX470F512L -M -F"/home/.../A_0PC1_MAN_0210_v0.2-18-gae72c26.hex" -K -OB -E
     
    but I would like to understand a little bit more!
