Can't get my pic16f877a to blink a LED

Hello

I'm new to PIC microcontrollers , so I'm trying the 'Blink' project on a breadboard but its not working.

I'm using pic16f77A/887 and top2008 programmer

pls can anybody help me?

    Not unless you post some code and say what "not working" means.
     
    What did you try? What did you expect to see/measure? What results did you actually observe/measure?
     
    None of us can see your screen or your breadboard from here!

    please can anyone recommend any book i can use to learn c programming? and i also need a guide to learning pic microcontroller  projects

    The first question you posted some tome back, you failed to provide more info. The best learning method is practice what you are learning, and this forums can be helpful when yo actually respond to suggestions.
    If you want to start learning, first tip, they away form ancient chips like your pic16f77A/887. There are new, better and cheaper models now available, you might get stuck trying to fixing something that won't even be a problem if using a newer model.

    hey guys, thanks a lot for your responses. sorry i didn't reply back. i have had some issues.
    but Looked up those books and they really helped. though the Method I'm using to learn now is to look for projects online and try to replicate them.
