MCP2221 I2C State

Hello -

First of all, I'm not sure if this is the right forum for my question (so feel free to propose a better one or move my post), but there doesn't seem to be a forum for the MCP2221(A).

My question is: where can I find information on the meaning of the I2C state byte? I.e. the value that is returned by the MCP2221 by the I2C_State_Check(self) function in PyMCP2221A.py, for instance. I can find partial information but none that covers all the return values that I see.

Thanks in advance,
Beat

...to be more precise, I'm talking about the I2C state machine state value byte mentioned on p.24. of the MCP2221A data sheet.

    Hi!
    I'm PyMCP2221A Program Master!!

I think you didn't understand the "I2C state machine state value" of your question by reading the documentation.
I referred to the source provided by Microchip.

    Thank you.
