RN4871 Message 0x80

Hi, I just started a project with RN4871 and I am looking at the raw data messages being received by BLED112 dongle with LabVIEW and the Bluegiga GUI so I can start understanding the advertising packet structure and how it changes with various commands to the RN4871.  I am seeing that the very first byte received over the COM port starts with 0x80.  I believe this is some type of message response (according to LabVIEW), but I don't know what/why/how.
I cannot find anywhere in the RN4871 User's Manual that I should be expecting this as the first byte.  Could someone clarify this?  Also, if someone has a complete BLE message that I should expect from a factory reset device that would help me out so much.
Another question, is the Access Address (part of the advertisement) the same as the MAC address?
