Flash Programming Memory(EEPROM)

Hi everyone,
I am using PIC24EP256GP206 for flash programming,to write and read data.I have studied data sheet they have mentioned Flash Memory can be programmed in two ways
1)In-Circuit Serial Programming (ICSP)
2)Run-Time Self-Programming (RTSP)
ICSP mode is done with two lines for programming clock and programming data (one of the alternate programming pin pairs: PGECx/PGEDx), and three other lines for power (VDD), ground (VSS) and Master Clear (MCLR).Normally we do the same connection for communicating to hardware right, is this makes any difference if i do programming in RTSP mode, and have one more doubt is there any register to select RTSP or ICSP mode,if not how will know the programming in ICSP or RTSP mode. Please let me know which one is best for flash programming memory.

Thanking you.

    I also post at: PicForum

To get a useful answer, always state which PIC you are using!

In addition to the Data Sheets, the 16-bit PIC products use Reference Manuals to elaborate on various functions.  Look through
16-Bit MCU and DSC Programmer’s Reference Manual

    dsPIC33/PIC24 Program Memory

    Flash Programming

    Not necessarily in that order.

I don't need the world to know my name, but I want to live a life so all my great-grandchildren proudly remember me.
