PWM Trigger Real confusion

I am trying to run the motor using the MCLV-2 board (micro dspic33ep256MC506). As a first step i am trying to understand the different configurations possible with PWM and ADC. I got struck when i saw the ADC triggers in the pwm reference manual. In the first case
SSRCG=0, SSRC=011, ITB=x, MTBS=x ADC Trigger period = PTPER, ADC Trigger event =SEVTCMP
Now if i take ITB = 1 then my master time base will be PHASEx and not PTPER (center aligned mode). Then how do  i handle this situation? Does it mean i have to load the PTPER register with Phase1 register? Please advise.
